On this website you will find an image library, a GIS link, a selection of maps and directories. Previously these sources were only available by visiting the Kent archive offices.
We intend to expand the range of sources for this community further but as you can appreciate there are over 400 historic parishes in Kent and this is an enormous task. We already have over 11,000 images available and are regularly adding more.
Forty five towns and villages have an extensive range of essays covering their history and archaeology. If you live close to one of these places some of the information may well relate to your own community.
By using the search facilities in the history, glossary, guides, encyclopedia and themes sections you may find more information about your community.
